Best Playdough Recipe

1 c flour

1/2 c salt

2 tsp cream of tarter

-mix together the above in a medium sized sauce pan and then add:

1 c water

1 tbls oil

optional at this point to add any of the following:

food coloring

imitation flavors for scent (strawberry, orange, coconut, banana, lemon, mint, etc.)

Kool-Aid packets for color and scent

glitter

Stir well and then heat over medium heat. IMPORTANT to stir continuously! Mixture will start to stiffen to a dough consistency and stick to pan. Remove from heat, stirring until it is stiffened throughout without any runny parts. Turn out onto counter/cutting board/trivet to cool. Once cool enough to touch, knead it till smooth.Do NOT double the recipe or it gets too stiff. Store in an air tight container in a cool place for up to 1 year.
