Crockpot Oatmeal

If you like creamy oatmeal then this post is for you! This makes waking up in the morning to breakfast that's ready and waiting for you a cinch. Just measure your water and oats, set out bowls and toppings and then go to bed.

Ingredients:
4-6 cups water (I like the 4 cups because I like mine not so watery so try it till you get the consistency that you like best)
2 cups old fashioned oats

Directions:
Cook overnight in crockpot for 8-10 hours on low. Oatmeal will come out very creamy.

Set out bowls the night before for in the morning. You can also set out toppings for those early risers in your family....such as brown sugar, dried fruit, raisins, honey, etc....

Thanks Katey for this recipe!

I was reading in a cookbook that adding salt to grains while they are cooking really enhances the flavor, so I tried adding one tsp of salt to the oatmeal and it really made a difference!
