Farming methods

Joel Salatin I think is one of the farmers interviewed on Food Inc. He calls himself a "Christian Libertarian environmentalist capitalist lunatic farmer"

Organic is a step in the right direction but it would be great if all farmers practiced these same methods of farming.
"We are beyond organic," exclaimed Salatin

He's really inspired us to keep things as natural as possible with our animals/land. We're also learning a lot from our friends/fellow homechurchers who are doing pastured poultry and sheep. Check out his blog: http://blog.radicalchicken.com/. I especially like his post on August 15 "No One Night Stands Please", but most of the posts are interesting, intelligent, and witty.

Author Michael Pollan spent about a week with Salatin out at Polyface Farm and he records his experiences in Omnivore's Dilemma. Very insightful!
