We've made these wonderful smelling ornaments in the past for Christmas gifts. You just mix together 1 part cinnamon and 1 part applesauce. To get a pretty good amount you probably want to start with about 4 cups of applesauce and 4 cups of cinnamon. This will make a lot of ornaments. I buy the cinnamon at Costco for this project. Poke a hole with a straw after cutting them with the cookie cutter for a ribbon to go in later. Let them sit out to dry and harden for several days or bake on low (about 200 degrees) for a couple hours (about 2 1/2) till dry and hard. When cooled, string ribbon through holes and tie a bow. They smell wonderful when you hang them on your Christmas tree. (NOT EDIBLE!)

I think we will try that out tomorrow night! I need to run and get some cookie cutters for it.
OH! My cousin made everyone some of these one year and they were wonderful! She made them into little teddy bears (1 inch tall) by rolling the different parts (head, body, limbs, ears and nose) into little tiny balls and then gluing them together. Wrapped carefully they last a really long time...so does the wonderful scent!
