Crockpot Chicken

Yesterday I cooked chicken in the crockpot. I took out some of it in afternoon and diced it for chicken salad. The rest I left in till it's cooked well enough to shred. With the shredded I'll make traditional enchiladas with and post the pictures on here for you and the rest I'll shred for chicken tacos.

How long do you cook it in the crock?

Chicken you can cook from morning (about 9am give or take an hour) till the afternoon (about 3-4pm) and it will be cooked but firm. This works well for recipes that call for cubed chicken. OR you can cook it from 9am all the way till 6 or later when it's shreddable.

Beef you want to cook from the night before (before going to bed so about 10pm give or take an hour) and then by 5-6pm the next evening it's very tender and shreddable. Beef that is slow cooked long like that is easier for our bodies to digest. Good digestion is important to good health.

What if they are frozen breasts?

You can use frozen ones it just might need a little more time so start them a little earlier in the morning. Then just check for doneness throughout the day. =0)
