I have memories of my Grandma Smith making this dessert when I was a kid. She would make chocolate cook n serve pudding and while it was still hot on the stove she would serve it poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It's so yummy and simple.
My Grandma Smith is my mom's mom and she is now in her 90s. She had 9 girls and 1 boy (he is the baby of the family). My mom is number 5. Grandma is a great cook even though she doesn't like to admit it. She taught us all so much about being domestic and mostly what I learned from her I learned through my mom. Thanks Grandma Smith and Mom for teaching me to be domestic and passing on a love for cooking.
Every time I have this simple dessert I picture myself at Grandma's house having this.
