Sweet Potato Fries

My kids and husband WILL eat sweet potatoes this way and no other way....I love them like this too.

Peel and slice sweet potatoes. Steam till crisp tender. Toss with olive oil, garlic, and salt. Put under broiler till browned. Serve with fry sauce.

Fry Sauce:
mayo and ketchup mixed together.

We like sweet potatoes this way also. I have also roasted them with a apricot preserves mixture on them. It was tasty. I have not steamed them first.I will have to try your method in the near future.

Have you tried leaving the skins on? I never would have thought to, but my mom made them that way for us a few months ago. Surprisingly delicious!

MMM will have to try that -steam and broil. We usually just fry them. When they go on sale, I buy a lot, bake, wrap in paper towel and freeze in ziplock. then I can have them whenever I want. Pop in microwave and enjoy! Or we defrost and put on grill wrapped in foil - it crisps the skins up. I agree, leave the skin on MMMM
