kitchen flooring is done.....
There was a question asking if our flooring was done so here are some pictures since I'm still on blogging break. =0)
We put new kitchen flooring in as a temporary solution to our flooring issues. We planned on putting hardwood floors in most of our downstairs but while we were saving up for it our floors were not being very patient. The peel and stick squares that the owners before us put in were peeling up and we were tripping over the corners of them. Lovely I know. The adhesive between them all was also turning black and impossible to clean. Take my advice and steer clear of adhesive squares for your flooring. Yes, they go down quickly and with ease but in a year you'll be wishing you hadn't! Ours were about 4 years old. We also had carpet under our table area which had some serious stains on it.
I picked the cheapest vinyl I could find and had it put down in the kitchen and the dining room (where the carpet had been) and I'm thrilled to be able to sweep my floors again and mop them with ease! Sometimes, it's been thankful for the little things. I hated the flooring when it went in but it's starting to grow on me.

Nice. It's pretty similar to what we have in our kitchen... People always ask me if it's tile, since it looks like it from far away... :)
I think it all looks so nice!
