You must see it....

I finally went and saw this! Oh my goodness, where do I start. It's a must! I got so upset during the film that I could hardly sit still in my chair. I didn't expect it to make me mad but it did. The film was great....although I think I could have added at least another hours worth of content myself but who am I? I just wish they would have explained a little more for those that are ignorant about the health effects. They touched on it but didn't go into it enough. I don't think the general public is educated as to the health effects of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and hydrogenated oils, etc. If you want to know why our family eats organic, watch this film! And then start supporting your local farms if you can!

It was not released here in our city, so we will have to wait until it is released on DVD... we have it in our Netflix Queue.

We are becoming more and more aware of the importance of buying local. We recently attended a Local Growers Guild meeting... very interesting! It was the ultimate Crunchy Con experience. There we are, an ultra-conservative Christian family mingling with extreme left-wing liberals and we all have one thing in common: the way that we view food.

We're also following Joel Salatin's (Polyface Farm) method of pasture rotation, etc. Contrary to most farming operations, we are not grain-feeding our goats, nor do we administer conventional treatments for ailments.

Well, anyway, you can see that we are excited about this film!

By the way, I just started reading the Omnivore's Delimma after a friend loaned it to me... it's very interesting! I think you might like to read it sometime.
