I've been making an alfredo sauce for our pizza sauce from time to time lately and my family is thrilled when I do. I don't really have a recipe but here's basically what I do....
Melt butter in a sauce pan (about 2-4 tbs)
Sprinkle flour into the butter while stirring (about 3-4 tbs)
Add milk and whisk over heat till thickened (about 1-2 cups)
Add a handful of parmesan cheese and stir till cheese is melted in
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Spread on dough and top with cheese
I use this crust recipe. I usually add herbs to it though. About 1 tbsp of Italian seasoning.
